the deepest sorrow. Nothing can be worse than to be united in marriage to the wrong person. If only young people would consider this seriously before they give away their hearts! God’s will for each of His children is perfect and complete. It involves every moment of the Christian’s time and every detail of his life. Surely our loving Heavenly Fa ther has not overlooked the important matter of marriage and the home. Young man, young woman, be sure that you take God into your confidence in the matter of your life mate. Be sure you are in the center of His will. Be positive that your choice is His choice. Study carefully Second Corinthians 6:14-18. The Best Way to Make Decisions The believer does not just “ happen” to do the will of God; he works at it! There are several steps to follow in this most important matter. First, com mit your way entirely to God (Psa. 37:5,6). The Holy Spirit through Prov erbs 3:6 instructs us that we are to acknowledge the Lord in all our ways. This means full surrender of our lives to God and constitutes the first step toward doing the will of God. The second step in ascertaining the will of God for your life is the study of the Word of God. God will never lead a man contrary to His Word. The Bible gives every Christian the blueprint for his life in general, and oftentimes di rects him to the special and detailed designs of that will (Psa. 119:105; Psalm 32:8). But even the study of the Word of God will not suffice without prayer. Prayer is a “must” in getting to know the mind of the Lord for direction. When a Christian earnestly seeks through prayer the will of God for his life, the Holy Spirit prays through him and for him and directs the believer in the full will of God (Rom. 8:26-30). One other step in the knowledge of God’s will is determination to do that will once it is revealed. This is most important. Our Lord taught this truth in John 7:17. God reveals His will only to the man who wants to do it. If you are determined to do the will of God for your life, cost what it may, you may rest assured that God will reveal it to you. uAS E “Earn-Your-Way■Pian” A wonderful plan to work your way without loss of time. •. while learn ing to serve Christ better. The ability to make a right decision depends largely on right character. Joshua could make the decision he made (Josh. 24:14,15) because he wanted to do the right thing. Joshua was an hon est man therefore he did the honest thing. The reason every man in the world who knows about Christ does not yield to Him is because he is not hon est. What honest man could deny the Son of God? What honest man can call the truth a lie? Life is made up of a constant series of decisions, some more important than others, but all contributing to the kind of a life a man lives. In our study we will suggest some of the decisions every man must make. These are truly de-- cisions of destiny. Decisions Every Man Must Make First of all there is the decision con cerning Christ. There is, perhaps, a sense in which it is not accurate to say that every man has to make a decision concerning Christ, because actually ev ery man has already made some deci sion in this regard. Our Lord said that the man who is not with Him is against Him. If you are not on Christ’s side, you are on the side of those who oppose Him. There is no middle ground here, no fence to straddle. We speak often times about a man’s “ accepting” or “ rejecting” the Saviour. Actually every man who has heard the gospel and not acted on it has already rejected Christ. His only remaining decision is whether or not he will receive Christ. The question comes, then, where do you stand? Are you with Him by actual personal choice? If not, you are auto matically united with those who are His enemies. This is a serious thing. You do not need to curse Him, or oppose Him, or battle Him—just do nothing to let Him into your life as Saviour and Lord and you have aligned yourself with those who hate Him. Your decision, then, if you are not a born-again believer, is to receive Christ as your own personal Saviour, and thus identify yourself with Him and His cause (John 1:12; 3:16; 3:36; Rom. 10:9,10). The second important decision in life is what to do with your life. Here again there are two alternatives. You may do the will of God or you may please your self. The decision rests with you. Joshua determined that he was going to serve the Lord (Josh. 24:14,15). The Psalm ist encourages God’s child to commit his way fully unto the Lord (Psa. 37:5,6). It is the Christian’s birthright to know the will of God for his life (Eph. 5:17). The third decision has to do with the important matter of a life partner. Right at this point the Christian opens his life for the greatest happiness or
