New Board President’s Message:

First, I would like to thank my fellow Trustees for the confidence they have placed in me as I step into the role of President of the School Board. My goal for the year is to strengthen our outreach to the community and build even deeper connections with the families we serve. I will work closely with our teachers and administrators, to ensure that our children receive the best education possible, and I will partner with the administration at each school to support improvements to our infrastructure. I also want to be a listening ear for parents throughout our district—open, receptive, and responsive to the issues that matter most to them. As I have said before, it takes all of us working together to make this school district great. No one person can do it alone. So, let’s move forward together and continue building a stronger BUSD for our students, our families, and our community.

Every month, the Board of Trustees honors the outstanding commitment of our staff by recognizing nine District Employees of the Month. These dedicated winners receive a BUSD Portfolio, a certificate, a Photo Plaque, and a $25 Amazon Gift Card generously provided by School’s First Federal Credit Union. Employees are nominated by the District Management Team and selected by the District Cabinet.

The nine honorees are celebrated across key areas of our district:

A massive congratulations to all the winners for their incredible dedication to our students and community!

When and how to contact the School Board You should contact the school board when you have concerns or questions about the district’s policies, budget, school programs, or safety issues. It's also a good idea to reach out if you want to participate in public meetings, share ideas, or provide feedback about your child’s school. For specific personal issues, like student discipline or individual school matters, it's often best to first contact the school or district administration.
