Maintaining reproductive efficiency is key to our success and our customers’ success. Enrollment in the AHIR and Maternal Plus program furthers our commitment for submitting data to augment EPD accuracy for numerous traits. For years we’ve focused on providing our customers with seedstock that are born easily, tip the scales at weaning and yearling, and offer feed efficiency and carcass merit for those feeding their cattle. Our cows are the factory which keeps us in business. They must breed in a timely manner, raise a heavy calf at weaning, maintain functional udders and sound structure or they go to town. We believe in taking a progressively balanced approach to our genetic selections. Development Bulls were weaned in late August and received no creep prior to weaning. They’ve been fed a high-roughage ration designed for 3 lbs. average daily gain. They’re maintained in a large trap requiring them to exercise multiple times a day between feed and water keeping them in peak physical condition for breeding. We practice low-stress handling on foot, on horseback, and with “Roxie” the cow dog. These bulls are gentle and easy to work with in close quarters. Health Pre-weaning the bulls were vaccinated with Bovilis Nasalgen 3-PMH and Alpha 7/MB-1. Mid-Summer they were vaccinated with Pyramid 5 + Presponse SQ, Ultrabac 7, Dectomax injectable wormer, and Clean Up II pour-on. Late August, bulls were weaned, vaccinated with Pyramid 5+Presponse and Ivermax pour-on applied. Late September the bulls were tattooed and Exhile pour- on applied. Mid-November the bulls were freeze-branded and received Dectomax pour-on. Late December bulls received Dectomax pour-on. Early February bulls received Multimin 90. At approximately 365 days of age the bulls were weighed,
