Here’s how it works: Engage community members : Our step-by-step recruitment guide and outreach tools will show you how to effectively invite community members to become reading mentors. Equip your mentors : R.E.A.L. mentor guides are designed for non-educators and contain guidance for leading an effective interactive read-aloud and helpful scripts to build mentor confidence. Build home libraries : After each read-aloud, children get to bring a copy of the book home.
