SCROTALS AND FINAL WEIGHTS TAKEN BY DR. HOLLY ROE- JOHNSON, DVM ON JANUARY 7, 2026.

He’s a personal favorite of Owen’s—these Amplified calves are some of the easiest-fleshing cattle we’ve been associated with, which tells us they’ll make great daughters that are easy keepers. They will also improve docility. • He should be a slam-dunk heifer bull, but knowing the cow family, I’d hesitate to lean too heavily into that. Lot 18 has the build and a small head, but the cows behind him typically throw some larger calves. My recommendation: sample him on a few heifers or your coming 2nd-calvers before going all in on a larger group of heifers.

He goes back to the 315A cow we spoke of earlier. There aren’t many bulls boasting a WW EPD of 109 and a YW of 178.5—and even fewer that back it up in real life without creep. When we have this kind of performance, the risk of a flop bull is very limited. Our herd has been enrolled in THE program since its inception, and every cow has submitted data every year. Good or bad, it all goes in. By recording every weight honestly, with no environmental influences like creep or special care, the predictability just keeps growing. • As a second-calver, his dam absolutely delivered on this square-made bull, quickly proving herself to be a top young cow—her first son sold to Penrhos Farms last year. Real performance out of a young cow that, in our eyes, will be the perfect 1,500-pound cow when she is mature. • Take note that this bull also traces back to the U848 cow, who is no stranger to the King of the Range Bull Sale. This is the kind of bull that can move a program ahead in a single generation.

He fits our “do-it-all” model: growthy but balanced, with strong maternal traits like MCE, MWW, and moderate birth weight. Add in his marbling, and you’ve got a bull that can cover multiple bases in your herd. • He’s also extremely docile and easy to be around, just like all the Amplified sons. If you’re looking for a bull that embodies our program, Lot 20 should be on your list.
