• How many calves are born running? This one sure was! He should be one of the easiest calving bulls on the sale. He combines low birth weight—48 pounds—with strong growth, weaning at 636 pounds. You won’t be disappointed with the performance of these Sweet Crude calves; they are square and full of high-dollar meat. • Most of the Sweet Crudes are 5.0–5.8 frames, ideal for maintaining cow size. They will be disciplined when mature, allowing you to use a bull like this for many breeding seasons before he gets too big for heifers. And when that time comes, there’s still enough performance to simply flip him to cow. With Crossfit and Eagle on the dam side, he’s built to produce tremendous replacement heifers. 48 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 18.6 -1.8 85.3 133.1 10.1 20.6 63.2 17.3 15.4 0.38 -0.074 0.91 153.7 89.7 5% 25% 10% 20% 10% 20% 25% 636 1117 3.45 32.2

• What a tremendous heifer bull! Nicknamed Bandit for good reason, this brockle-faced son of Sweet Crude is built to make life easy on heifers. He ranks over 20 for CE and has a -4 lb. BW, combining calving ease with a picture- perfect dam and strong maternal traits. • Bandit’s dam is a 3C Beau out of an Epic female, and I would be surprised if his offspring don’t have the best udders you’ve ever seen. If you’re in search of a heifer bull that also passes on maternal power, stop looking—you’ve found him. This bull is built to thrive in the harshest conditions while producing females that last. 72 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 21.2 -4 58.8 86.2 10.4 24.6 54 18.8 7.4 0.29 -0.032 0.51 146.7 73.7 2% 10% 10% 15% 672 1236 4.04 34.7

To support the next generation of cattle producers, we’re offering a 5% discount on purchases for buyers age 30 and under. With today’s cattle prices, growing a herd takes real commitment, and we know firsthand how challenging it can be to build momentum early on—this is one small way we can support young producers building something long term.

• This bull is similar to Lot 26, but his maternal granddam adds some extra power behind him. I would be uncomfortable calling him a heifer bull, but he could be used on a set of second-calvers with the goal of retaining females. • Don’t mind the short ears! His first-calf heifer dam is sired by 3C Beau, and we know those cows as some of the best mothers around. She just couldn’t stop licking his ears during a cold snap. While Canadian-bred cattle EPDs often appear disadvantaged when entered into the U.S. population due to limited numbers, most have above-average performance and, in my experience, increase milk. We also never pull a calf out of a Canadian-influenced cow, letting nature run its course. 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 10.5 1.7 69.1 107.3 5.8 25.5 60 16.5 11.6 0.01 -0.061 1.11 108.9 66.2 15% 4% 78 719 1192 3.39 33.7
