• Lot 30 started a bit bigger for a Sweet Crude calf at 85 pounds and, being out of a Prodigy daughter, is not recommended for heifers. A good set of young black cows would be tremendously complemented by this bull. He weaned an actual 788 pounds with no creep on a first-calf heifer. • You’ll notice the adjusted WW numbers are usually smaller on these early-born calves. When we wean, they have no positive adjustment to numbers because they are over 205 days of age. We don’t believe in weaning at separate times or creating more contemporary groups. When a calf is younger, it will have an inflated 205-day weight because of the days adjusted to age. This is why we take our 205-day weights as close to 205 as possible—some will be older, some a few days younger—but the data and ratios are more accurate as a result. 85 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 12 0.8 80.9 126.5 7 25.8 66.2 18.1 12.2 0.03 -0.056 0.68 120.9 74.6 20% 25% 760 1269 3.65 35
• A powerful son out of Sweet Crude that is very calm to be around. Not recommended for heifers, but he will add pounds and performance to your calf crop. I can’t wait to see this group of bulls together on sale day—it will be tough to find one you don’t like. 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 13.8 0.8 85.2 132.4 8.7 25.8 68.4 16.7 11.9 0.21 -0.077 0.77 132.2 82 25% 25% 10% 90 811 1368 3.98 35.1

• This bull was born a twin to a heifer, but don’t discount his size because of it. We pulled his sister off just before grass turnout, so he was held back a bit as a baby. • He has all the traits we want—big middle, flat top, and a tremendous set of wheels! Like all the Sweet Crude sons, he’s clean-fronted and eye-catching. Pair a few of these bulls together and watch how consistent a calf crop they can produce. He also carries a small white dot on his head. 63 3 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 7.2 2 80.5 122.3 6.4 22.6 62.7 13.1 11.4 0.1 -0.068 0.78 105.4 73.2 15% 613 1056 3.17 35.7
• Another attractive, clean-made heifer bull out of a super first-calf heifer. These Sweet Crude calves have exceptional vigor and are up and trying to nurse within minutes of birth. • He should be disciplined in mature size, and when you study his DMI and $GN, he ranks among the top in the offering. Simply put, he’ll create efficient steers or leave you with wonderfully profitable females. 82 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 15.9 -1.1 80.7 126.9 8.2 19.9 60.2 15.4 8.1 0.26 -0.047 0.82 137 82.7 15% 710 1180 3.38 35.1

• Lot 34 is a true calving ease bull, the kind dreams are made of—stay in bed and keep dreaming about warmer weather. He has an 18.4 CE and -2 BW EPD, a small head, and angular shoulders—exactly what we look for in a heifer bull. • He ranks in the top 1% for DMI and top 10% for dollar gain, meaning he and his offspring will take less feed while still gaining extremely well. He will be moderate in size and should produce some of your elite cows for the future. Throw in that he’s the tip of the spear for MCE, and I’d recommend him as your female maker for this high cattle cycle. 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 18.4 -2 58.3 87.7 10.3 20.4 49.5 16.2 9.4 0.48 -0.075 0.56 145.3 75.7 10% 20% 10% 10% 65 584 1116 4.51 31.2
• We watched this calf develop all summer and admired his thickness, level top, huge hip, and big feet. When the DNA results came back, we realized he was a Sweet Crude—son of a gun! Up until then, we thought he was a Galileo son and had even planned to retain him to clean up a group of heifers. Now it all makes sense, and it’s exactly why we do parentage testing: our records now match our pedigrees, something we take great pride in. • Flawless skeletal design is common in Sweet Crude calves, and this bull carries that impressive build that says, “Look at me.” No wonder we like him so much! 77 1 CE BW WW YW MCE MM MWW STAY DOC MB BF REA API TI 15.4 -0.5 70.6 106.6 9.1 24.4 59.7 20.1 10 0.27 -0.045 0.62 139.9 75.9 20% 20% 10% 712 1240 3.79 35.2
