Sale location: Once in Veblen, turn South on Laframboise Street. This will turn into BIA Road 15. Follow for 3 miles. Our ranch will be on the East side of the road. Please note, there are a lot of minimum maintenance roads around the ranch and GPS could take you down them if you are not familiar with the area. Please call if directions are needed. INSURANCE: Livestock mortality insurance forms will be available on Sale Day. Bulls become the buyer’s property at the time of sale. We strongly recommend insuring bulls left at the ranch, especially those valued at $10,000 or more. If something unfortunate occurs before the bull is in your care, we will cover the cost of the insurance premium. New owners may use their own provider or contact Jeff Thomas at 406-581-8859 or jeffthomas138@gmail. com. GUARANTEE: We guarantee all bulls to be breeders and reserve the right to test any bull in question as a non-breeder for a reasonable amount of time before making an adjustment. And, if the bull is declared a sound breeder by a competent veterinarian, he will be returned to the buyer. In case an adjustment is required, it will be made with a replacement of equal value to animal in question or credit on purchase of another single animal. Credit must be used on following bull sale. Guarantee is not an insurance or mortality policy but a guarantee on functional fertility. The buyer assumes all risks for injuries due to running bulls together and management decisions out of genetic control. DELIVERY: We will keep bulls until March 20 and deliver bull purchased in the Dakotas to your farm or a centralized drop-off when available. With the price of fuel and time, it really helps if we can meet several customers at an agreed upon location. We also do our best to deliver and assist out-of-state buyers in coordinating loads and making the most economical trucking arrangements possible. For delivery or trucking questions, contact Mike or Owen. STAVICK SIMMENTAL WILL BE RETAINING 1/3 SEMEN INTEREST IN ALL BULLS. BUYER WILL HAVE FULL POSSESSION AND SALVAGE VALUE.
DOCILITY SCORES: We have been around these bulls a lot and we represent them as best we can. Of course, there are always exceptions or situations that cause a bull to become restless or nervous, but we do our best to identify any individuals and have culled aggressively. If docility is your number 1 criteria, please contact us to confirm or help guide you. 1-Very calm, not nervous. 2-Calm for the most part, stands when walking by but will walk away when you pressure him. 3-Calm when in the group, may become nervous when pressured by himself or when isolated. We recommend these bulls to operations running many bulls and cows as they tend to blend in the best and are comfortable in a group. HERD HEALTH: Bulls were scrotal measured and had final weight taken by Dr. Holly Roe-Johnson, DVM, Hosmer Vet Clinic on 1/7/26. Bulls will be semen checked and given two rounds of footrot vaccine prior to delivery. All cattle are on a modified live vaccine regiment along with Mycoplasma throughout the year. We have been actively testing for Johnes and BVD for 20 years. TERMS & CONDITIONS: Cash or check day of sale with proper ID. Payment for bulls purchased via DVAuction must be made in full within 7 days of sale or finance charges will apply. Bulls become the property and therefore risk of the purchaser after it is sold. We guarantee the animal to be healthy and will have been inspected by Dr. Holly Roe-Johnson, DVM and Dr. Nate Iliff, DVM prior to the sale. Any death or injury after the animal is sold is at the buyer’s expense. All animals will be sold in accordance with the suggested guidelines of the American Simmental Association. Any information announced sale day takes precedence over the sale catalog.
