The splash of white shows the results of crossbreeding, which consistently adds value in the feedyard. • You’re probably noticing several of these Buddha calves are hetero black. Yes, they’re out of our red cows, and I really wanted to extend their value into my black replacement pen—Buddha makes fantastic females. • His dam has had 11 calves with a 367-day calving interval, weaning ratios of 107 for WW and 104 for YW. Ten of her 11 calves were bulls that sold to progressive operations like Terry Voneye, Paul Martinson, Emery Ranch, Jordan Wyum, Dale Jung, Nevin Sorenson, Jim and Lisa Pernsteiner, Barb Schlenker, and Brad Rau. Purchase her last son and add your name to that list of progressive cattlemen and women. • This is one of the largest-framed bulls in the offering. He carries himself on a big foot and, in typical Buddha fashion, is very docile. Yes, he carries a bit more birthweight—but what do you expect with his frame and length?
