After extensive research into this rare birth, here’s what we’ve learned: all four originated from a single fertilized egg that split multiple times. DNA genomics confirmed every calf carries the exact same genetic profile. While they aren’t technically clones, it makes the most sense to view them that way rather than as traditional brothers. • In our research, we have been unable to find another documented case of four same-sex quads ever selling as breeding cattle. This is history. Even the American Simmental Association had never encountered a situation like this—two of the four initially failed genomic testing because identical results were believed to be impossible. • One of the most impressive parts of the story is their dam. Not only did she breed back, she bred back AI and will calve again at essentially the same time this year. That level of fertility and durability speaks for itself.
