Even though that weather has started to cool down, CWGO continues to heat up the course. On 17 September, we enjoyed the great weather as ladies competed in the Aspiring Champions Tournament. Congratulations goes to Didi Sommers and Beth Foster who took first and second low gross respectively. The competition was tight for low net but Becky Harper played strong and took first place with Amy Dewitt, Tina Gwilliam and Kathleen Love all tied for second. Well done ladies! All season, members have competed in match play in four flights with the final matches finishing up in September. In the Champions Flight, Jill VanTine took first and Emily McGee was the runner up; Jen Lednicky won the Second Flight with Susan Walthall as runner up; Third Flight had Mary Ann Cronin winning the final match over Molly Griffin; and Barbara Lancaster edged out Molly Reeve to win the Fourth Flight. Congratulations to all our Match Play Champions! October is the final month of our season but also a busy month with lots of opportunity to play competitively and have fun. We will start with one of our favorite tournaments, the MJ Major on 1 October at Fairfax followed by WWOFO at Queenstown Harbor the next weekend (see Jen Lednicky for more details) and we end the month with the Fall Finale Tournament on 29 October. Don’t forget to mark your calendar now for the Closing Dinner on 9 November. You can sign up for the tournaments and dinner on the ANCC calendar. CWGO: CAREER WOMEN’S GOLF ORGANIZATION
