women’s ministry Main Event: The 2024 Violet Women’s Retreat is just a few weeks away – March 22nd-24th at the Berlin Resort, Millersburg, Ohio, in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country! Enjoy a weekend of praise and worship , time in God’s Word discussing persevering during life’s tough seasons and living with a spirit of gratitude and contentment. There will be time to explore beautiful Amish country, check out all the unique shops, relax, play games, sit around the fire pit, and just have a great time with a bunch of girlfriends as we draw nearer to God on a deeper level together. The last day to register and pay for the retreat is March 7th. Please sign up via the Church Center app or at violetbaptistchurch.org, click on “events”, and scroll to the 2024 Ladies Retreat. Multiple rooming and pricing options are available and include the total cost for your two nights accommodations, continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning, and dinner on Friday and Saturday night. We’re looking forward to seeing you in Amish Country!

June 9, 2024: We will have a Ladies Luncheon at Violet Baptist Church from 12:30-2:30PM. There is no cost to attend.
August 24, 2024: We will join a Going Beyond Ministries live simulcast from Athens, GA that features Priscilla Shirer called Experience the Truth of Scripture and the Power of Prayer from 7:30AM-3:30PM at Violet Baptist Church. The cost to attend is $15 and it includes a boxed lunch.
September 22, 2024: We will have a Ladies Luncheon at Violet Baptist Church from 12:30- 2:30PM. There is no cost to attend.
October 19, 2024: We’ll go “Walk, Talk, Pray” in Hocking Hills, OH. We’ll depart Violet at 9AM. Please bring a sack lunch.
October 25-26, 2024: We will attend Living Proof Live with Beth Moore at Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN. More information to come regarding Hotel Reservations and Group Ticket Prices.
December 15th: We will have a Ladies Christmas Celebration at Violet Baptist Church from 12:30-2:30PM. There is no cost to attend.
March Devotional – “Maybe you’re not where you thought you’d be at your age..maybe you’re walking through a heartache you never thought would be your reality…maybe your dreams have been marked by deep disappointment or loss…Friend, whatever disappointment you are walking in today will not be the end of your story! When life is not what you expected and you don’t know how to navigate your current reality, you can cling to these Truths from God’s Word as an anchor and hope to your weary soul: When life doesn’t look like I thought it would, God is still good and He’s not finished with me yet (Jeremiah 29:11). When l think I’ll never recover, God redeems it all, He won’t waste a thing (Romans 8:28). When I’m fearful and tempted to give up on the future, God will take my hand and give me the strength to trust Him again (Isaiah 41:10)."
