VioletKids February is commonly known as a month to celebrate love. On Sunday mornings last month, VioletKids took a deep dive into what loving someone really looks like! Our preschool kids learned that Jesus loves everyone and that, ultimately, He wants to be our forever friend. Our elementary kids took an adventure in kindness! We learned that kindness is a fruit of the Spirit and an important characteristic of people who follow Jesus. In February, we launched the opening of our VioletKids Care Closet. The Care Closet contains donated (like new) items for anyone who may have a need for something such as diapers, winter coats, blankets, etc. If we do not have something in our space, we will do our best to find whatever is needed! If you would like to get involved in this ministry, or know of a family in need, please reach out to Chelsea Poole or Jamie McCleese. Our February event was Father-Daughter Dance 2024! This event was open to the community, and it did not disappoint! With over 100 people registered to attend, we had a DJ, a photo booth, and lots of yummy Valentine’s treats. Thank you to all those who helped to put this event together, including the ones who helped set up, decorate, and serve food during the dance. It was fun to serve together and was definitely a memorable evening for many fathers and their daughters.
