Q. Coos Bay, Ore. — “Just how much does Satan bother God’s people? We’ve been discussing this and would like your suggestions.” A. We know from Scripture that the world, the flesh, and the devil, are all sources of temptation for the be liever. Satan already has unbelievers in his grasp and doubtless makes, as the focal point for his relentless at tacks, those who are saved. Some of his favorite ways of defeat are through pride, jealousy, envy, gossip, discouragement, and many others. He loves to sow dissension among the brethren. This is why we need to be very submissive to the Holy Spirit. Too often we are led by selfish goals, rather than seeking the Lord’s per fect, directive will. One of the rea sons why God's children can look for ward to heaven is because they will no longer be troubled by Satan and his demonic forces. Q. Los Angeles, Calif. — “Is there any Scripture to indicate that when we get to heaven, we’ll have work or service to do?" A. Active people are always inter ested in this for they can’t conceive of doing nothing forever. As we con sider our eternal occupation, we can’t consider it in the same light as we do physical service during life. Revelation 22:3 and 4 are beautiful verses; in fact, the whole chapter is priceless. The words which especially impress me are, “and his servants shall serve Him.” This should give

ample proof of our mutual desire in purposeful adoration to be used of our Lord for whatever ministry He may desire. Remember, God is go ing to satisfy all our desires to serve Him. When we get to glory, there will be no infirmities and in our re deemed bodies we will not be subject to the frailties of the flesh, so that we can render more efficient service. Q. Stockton, Calif. — “Many people don’t believe that the Bible alone is sufficient. They tell us there’s a need for some other special book or reve lation for fuller understanding. Do you think it is right to allow an in dividual from a cult to come into one’s home to study som.e other writ ing?” A. We emphatically underscore the fact that we have everything we need to know already given to us in the Word of God. It is both purposeless and dangerous to have such traffic with someone steeped in a particular cult, no matter how interesting it may appear on the surface. If you follow such a practice, it would be like sticking your hand into a fire and then asking the Lord not to let you be burned! The first thing to study is the Bible! Do not be car ried away with “every wind of doc trine.” Q. Abbotsford, B.C., Can----- “Will you please explain James 5:9?” A. There is an interesting note on page 1331 of the New Scofield Bible 23
