587 L&D Sessions

Throughout this quarter, the L&D team primarily focused on training and coaching, delivering a total of 587 sessions globally! Over the last 3 months, we’ve also launched 3 new modules as part of our DNA Programme for new starters. This includes an updated edition of Sourcing Strategy, Counter-offers, Internal Referrals. Excellent work from Lauren Ware, Jess Mathews, and Abby Karanouh (with collaboration from Eve Coxeter for the Internal Referrals module)! Our L&D team also launched Manager Support guides to go alongside each of our current programmes. These have been designed to help support managers with post-course follow-up and implemented group interactive training sessions allied to sales days on the West Coast. An extra special shoutout goes to Jess Mathews for consistently receiving positive feedback from her training groups, amending her first training content, and achieving sign-off on DNA with just one module remaining. Fantastic work Jess! I look forward to seeing you celebrate at this month’s Lunch Club in San Diego!

This quarter has been a busy one for our Operations team, welcoming 53 new members of staff across our 5 offices! Throughout July, we completed London’s office expansion and renovations, which now hosts an additional board/training room for our growing teams. On top of that, the Ops team successfully organised Super Lunch Clubs for the East Coast, West Coast, and European qualifiers, as well as 5 regional summer parties. Katie Taylor and Sam Englert both supported the global Contract teams to administer just shy of 100 Contract placements! That’s not even taking into account all of the other work they continue to do around extensions, onboarding, etc. Great work as always, team! Alex Banks is helping implement a new Bullhorn tool to better our Contractor onboarding process, which should aid not just our compliance measures, but hopefully improve the time it takes to get a candidate from placement to deal. We’ve also signed a new agreement with Zoom One, which will be replacing Fuze as our primary telecoms platform by the end of Q4 – more to come on that soon! Well done to everyone in the Ops team for a successful Q3 – now let’s get ready for an exciting Q4!

Q3 has been another consistently great performance for the global IR team! Overall, in the last 3 months, IR has hired 31 new team members, resulting in an 18% net headcount growth! Congratulations to Eve Coxeter and Jon Arth, who have placed 18 candidates between them – it’s so great to see both of you leading from the front! So far this year, in total, the IR team has made 148 hires. This has meant that globally, we’ve hit the 250 staff milestone – a huge accomplishment! Keep up the wonderful work team, and let’s maintain this momentum for the rest of 2022!

This quarter the People team has been jam-packed, working on multiple new projects and strategies. Together, after listening to all of your thoughts, the team created meaningful charity partnerships for each of our offices and hosted several successful fundraising events and volunteer opportunities. Along with our global Culture Communities, we’ve also built a full ESG event calendar. This includes insightful talks, education opportunities, and action-focused initiatives, so keep your eyes peeled for those coming up in the following months! During Q3, we also successfully compiled our carbon data for our carbon score – not an easy feat for those involved – thank you, Nella Dyer! So, to continue bettering our sustainability plan to reach our net-zero target, we’re actively working with Positive Planet. There’ll be more to come on this soon! On top of all of that, we’ve also rolled out several new People policies, including INC PTO increases and Parenting Leave, to name a couple! A massive well done to everyone on the People team for a brilliant quarter overall. Extra special kudos goes to Rachel Hoffman who’s had a fantastic 3 months, running multiple key projects and global initiatives to support all of us here at Meet!

Gathering feedback from our clients and candidates, with 254 requests sent out, we’ve secured a 4.9-star rating on Feefo! Miina’s mission to become the voice of our customers should enable all of you to provide an elevated recruitment experience, and ultimately, build more relationships and make more placements. Combining all of these efforts with Callum’s skills around data, Q4 should be a really exciting one for ISM, and subsequently, for all of you too! Behind the scenes, we’re already working on 2 very exciting projects, which are focused on making your lives easier and helping you really stand out in your markets. They’ll be coming to light very soon, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for those! The whole ISM team has hit the ground running, but our special Q3 shoutout goes to Owen for his unmatched energy around the office and the real impact he’s making in our new videography efforts, which has secured him a spot on his first-ever Lunch Club! A massive well done!

Phase one of building Meet’s ISM division is now complete! Over the last couple of months, we welcomed Miina McIntyre and Callum McGuire to head up our Success and Insights efforts. With the team complete, we’re now in a position to really impact how we win business, attract candidates, and grow all of our teams across the globe. Under the guidance of Georgina Collings, Marketing has taken a real step up over the last quarter. We’ve made a conscious shift to be more external focused, which has seen Emily Davies write 17 pieces of unique content, driving a big chunk of over 40,000 visitors to our website and reaching nearly 250,000 followers on LinkedIn! Owen Beynon has created 54 videos over the past quarter, recording a ridiculous 10 hours of footage, which we hope will bear fruit over the coming months in terms of raising all of your personal brands and attracting new team members for all of you! The team also had a fantastic trip out to Berlin, which we hope to replicate with all of our other offices. In terms of results, we’ve seen in excess of $/£/€200,000 of potential revenue come in via the website, in reference to inbound client enquires and over 530 job applications! This is something we hope to build on throughout Q4, working with all of you to help you with your individual recruiting efforts. Despite Miina only being in the business for a couple of months, she’s already kickstarted our Success efforts.

The Finance team had an unbelievable finish to Q3!

Overall, group cash received from our clients came in at a record £20 million. That’s a record-breaking daily average of £301,000!! On top of that, group DSO – the average number of days it takes for a client to pay an invoice – closed at 52 days! The whole Finance team has done fantastic work this quarter, so I simply cannot choose one superstar and have to give a special shoutout to the whole team!
