Royal Containers (CONT’D FROM PAGE 30)
“We committed a sizeable investment into our Royal West division, not a simple relocation of assets, but rath- er a move and an expansion in space and equipment,” Nelson said. “We have always invested in state-of-the-art equipment and Bobst is certainly a key supplier for us.” Still Time To Visit AICC Canada/CCCA Tabletop Conference In Ontario Registration is still open for AICC Canada/CCCA’s Table- top Conference, Canada’s premier event for professionals in the corrugated and containerboard industry. 2021. Incorporating the latest Bobst technology, including 10 patents, the MASTERLINE DRO equips converters with a versatile, fully automated, connected, and ergonomic solution. Bobst touts its machine’s productivity with an output of more than 430 million square-feet per year and a 15 per- cent improvement in the box compression test (BCT) for a huge savings potential on paper use. Two quality control systems enable printing register consistency during setup or during production: “Start & Go” provides fully automatic set-up multi-color jobs with automatic compensation of cliché irregularity with only 11 sheets, and “Lead & Print” guarantees print-to-print and print-to-cut consistency with proactive compensation of board irregularity during production. It has a dust collec- tion system on both sides of the sheet built in to ensure printing quality and a die-cutting efficiency. Nelson said that although the machine was only com- missioned in May, they are seeing good things from the new MASTERDRO and the sales team is excited by the op- portunity of growing business with an expanding customer base across Canada. The new line at Royal’s London facility sits alongside existing Bobst equipment, namely a DRO 1628 NT rotary die cutter and a new EXPERTFOLD folder-gluer, which was delivered in July.
