An Augmented Reality Experience

August saw artists Scarlett Raven and Marc Marot take their ground- breaking exhibition, The Danger Tree, overseas to Northern Ireland. The world class exhibition was held in Titanic Belfast’s stunning Andrews Gallery, and attracted thousands of visitors in a month- long period. Using Augmented Reality software, the artists brought a collection of original paintings and limited edition prints to life through poetry, animation and music, with each telling the compelling story of a different soldier who fought and fell in the Great War. Speaking about the exhibition, Scarlett Raven said: “Titanic Belfast

is an iconic, inspirational venue which combines history, heritage and technology to leave visitors with a unique experience and feeling of participation. Therefore it was the ideal location for introducing The Danger Tree to Northern Ireland.” Co-creator Marc Marot, added: “The men and women of Belfast and Northern Ireland sacrificed so much in the Great War and we hope that our exhibition helped in commemorating their sacrifice in some small way. “Augmented Reality is an outstanding way to inform, engage and entertain and we were very proud to be a part of bringing the experience to a new generation in Northern Ireland.”
