Western Caucus Foundation helps to share importance of resource development
I t was a pleasure to join the Western Caucus Foundation, state and federal elected officials, the Alaska Chamber and fellow business and industry leaders for an important conversation in late August about the policies and opportuni- ties shaping our state’s economic future. For Alaska’s mining industry, discussions about resource development, energy security, infrastructure, workforce and long-term economic competitiveness are especially important. Responsible devel- opment of Alaska’s mineral resources can play a critical role in strengthening our economy, creating opportunity in com- munities across the state and supporting national security. The strong turnout demonstrated the con- tinued interest and engagement of Alaska’s business community in finding solutions and advancing opportunities for the state. Thank you to the Western Caucus Founda- tion, the speakers and everyone who par- ticipated for a productive round of discus- sion, collaboration and connection. Alaska’s resource industries have an important role to play in building the state’s future!
