PRE-CARE GUIDANCE
When should I call CareGuide? Call CareGuide when you need to find affordable care outside your product’s available network or ancillary vendors. Where do I first see what’s available through ManhattanLife? See your Ancillary Services booklet from ManhattanLife to determine what medical providers are available (e.g., First Health Network, Green Imaging, etc.). The Ancillary Services booklet is in your Welcome Kit and available via your Client Portal (https://clients.manhattanlife.com). What kind of medical services does CareGuide help find outside my network? Outpatient surgery centers, labs, imaging, bloodwork, routine procedures, etc.
POST-CARE SERVICES
When should I call CareGuide about Hospital Bill Eraser? Call when you receive a bill that you’re responsible for. Not sure when that is? Call us to check! Examples include: when your claim is denied; when your carrier has paid all it will pay, but there is a balance leftover for you to pay; if your bills are not covered by your health plan. Does my hospital bill have to be a certain dollar amount? CareGuide will be able to provide its services only for medical bills over $2,500. If you’re unsure whether the bills qualify because of multiple stays or visits, contact our team and we can talk through it with you. I’ve called in to my advocate, but I forgot how to submit my bills to CareGuide--what do I do? Easy! Use the following link to access our secure upload portal: www.cgasaves.com/manhattanlifemembers
