In his final three years at College, Eric was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Top Student for Painting’, a stunning accomplishment that the Head of Art describes as “a testament to Eric’s commitment to excellence”. Eric also has achieved Scholarship in Design & Visual Communication in Year 13, a rare achievement acknowledging his creative talent, and Excellence in his external NCEA exam. His NCEA achievements have covered painting, photography, and printmaking, while he has also undertaken the internationally recognised Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) exams while at Christ’s College. Now, Eric plans to be “the first artist and designer in his family”. “To those College students on their own artistic journey, I say ‘do whatever you want to do and follow your dream’.”
