and laugh and chat with friends. He then joins one of his favourite classes, Systems and Justice. For James, it is an enthralling and instinctive interest, culminating in the awarding of a College prize. Wrapping up the educational component of a bustling day, James makes the most of Te Reo, including a swift game of Kī o Rahi. While the lessons are over, his co- curricular commitments are just beginning. Jumping on his bike and pedalling furiously, James races to Kerrs Reach to talk about rowing techniques and plans for the season before climbing into his assigned boat. Today, James is rowing in the quad and working on his skills in preparation for potentially representing College. After a solid session on the water, James helps to haul his boat back to the shed before his focus turns to a very quick – hopefully, ribs – dinner in the Dining Hall and then Chapel Choir practice. A treble, he enjoys his role and makes the most of any opportunity to sing at school. To cap his day, James steps onto the
