In the House Plays Festival, the standout students again have played their parts, with Cole co- directing the Corfe House play and Charlie winning a lead role for Julius House. In addition, they have won roles in the joint Christ’s College and Rangi Ruru Girls’ School production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. , with Cole starring as adventurous inventor Caractacus Potts and Charlie featuring as bombastic ruler Baron Bomburst. And they have graced the stage in the St Margaret’s College production of Legally Blonde . With Charlie moving into the senior production ranks in 2024, he also has brought his polished dancing skills to his role as a sailor in Anything Goes , while Cole has taken the stage in the lead role for the Harry Potter parody play titled Puffs . Not surprisingly, both performers – members of the title-winning College Theatresports team – are chasing musical careers. For Charlie, and Cole, singing and performing in the spotlight come naturally. “I love to perform and be on stage. Whether it be for acting, singing, or dancing, the whole experience is something that should be open to everyone,” Charlie explains. “The opportunities that College offers have helped me to continue this passion, letting me take up multiple roles over the past few years and
