University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Enrollment—1,188 Programs Available—55 In-state Tuition per Year—$2,040 (Includes Bowie, Cass, Red River, Marion, Morris, and Titus Counties in Texas) Out-of-state Tuition per Year—$2,904 Over 125 privately funded scholarships available The UAHT Secondary Career Center provides participating high school juniors and seniors with the unique opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school at no charge. The mission of the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is to connect students and community partners to quality academic and technical education, beneficial student support services, customized business and industry training, community development endeavors, and prevailing educational opportunities through exemplary and timely educational technologies, effective content delivery methods, and efficient organizational structures in an environment of integrity and respect that fosters student success, economic improvement, and civic and cultural enrichment. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences In 1993, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences established a Family Medicine Residency Program in Texarkana. This UAMS Regional Campus accepts eight new residents into its three-year program each summer. Residents are recent medical school graduates from UAMS College of Medicine and other accredited medical schools, who wish to become board certified in family medicine from the American Academy of Family Practice. As part of their residency training, UAMS Family Medicine Residents see patients in the UAMS Family Medical Center— Texarkana. This clinic also serves as a clinical site for UAMS students enrolled in the UAMS College of Medicine, UAMS College of Public Health, UAMS College of Pharmacy, and UAMS College of Nursing.
