Hospice of Texarkana, Inc. is the only nonprofit hospice facility in the Texarkana area. Serving the region for the last 38 years with the most experienced end-of-life care. Hospice of Texarkana has supported thousands of patients and families with nursing care, medical equipment, medications, counseling, volunteers, grief support and chaplains. While most hospice care is provided in private homes and long- term care facilities, there are times when hospice patients need short- term medical care for symptom management or respite care. To meet these needs, the Hospice of Texarkana Care Center, a state-of-the-art inpatient facility was erected in 2016. Hospice of Texarkana, the only freestanding inpatient care center within a 75-mile radius, can provide a seamless transition to inpatient care without lengthy waiting room times. The nonprofit agency was founded by the community and for the community in 1985 with a grant from the Junior League of Texarkana. The mission-driven, highly-trained, and compassionate staff serves anyone needing care within the Texarkana, USA region. The agency is a 2022 Hospice Honors recipient, is accredited with the Community Health Accreditation Program and offers the prestigious We Honor Veterans program in partnership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. room trained doctors, nurses and technologists that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
