Halloween
Halloween is celebrated around the world with children in costumes, candy, parties and lots of decorations. Halloween decorations have become more elaborate over the past few years and ranks second only to Christmas. It actually has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain which was a pagan religious ceremony to welcome the harvest and celebrate the end of summer. People would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off the ghosts. Many children still go door to door collecting candy from their neighborhood while others have parties at home, but there are many little princesses, ghosts and goblins celebrating on October 31st.
