St. Patricks Day
Both a religious and cultural holiday the feast of St. Patrick is celebrated globally and it is often said on that day everyone is Irish. The saint was born in the 4th century and legend has it that he often used the shamrock to explain the trinity to the Irish people that he was converting to Christianity. A largely secular holiday now, it is associated with the drinking of beer, often green, and the wearing of green clothing. The holiday is sometimes celebrated with parades , but more often by going to a pub, drinking beer or Irish Whiskey, eating Irish food and listening to typical Irish music.
