Easy Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients: 4 cups of sifted all purpose flour, and a bit more to coat the craisins 4 Tbs. sugar

1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. Kosher salt

½ stick of cold butter, diced 1 cup of craisins, flour coated 1 ¾ cup of shaken cold butter milk 1 large egg lightly beaten 1 ½ tsp. of orange zest Directions: Preheat over to 375 degrees, line a sheet pan with parchment paper In an electric mixer with the paddle attachment set to low, combine flour, sugar, bak- ing soda and salt Add the butter Add the craisins In a large measuring cup, add the buttermilk, egg and orange zest, whisk by hand Add the buttermilk mixture slowly to the flour mix This will be very moist, plop the dough onto a floured board, knead it lightly a few times into a round loaf Place it on your sheet pan and cut an X on the top. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

Cool on a baking rack, serve with butter at room temp
