Three Kings Day Three Kings day represents the day the Three Wise Men gave gifts to Jesus and signifies the end of the Christmas celebrations. The holiday is mostly celebrated by Catholics in Europe, Latin America and Spain. Often called the Epiphany, meaning to reveal, the holiday refers to when Jesus was revealed to the world. Families often celebrate with special meals, Kings Cake and children may leave their shoes out the evening before and receive gifts or special treats in their shoes. Elaborate processions are a part of the celebrations on the eve of Three Kings Day, especially in Barcelona, where the kings arrive by ship from far away eastern countries.
