About the Artists
Auguste Carter
Auguste has an innate sense of balance, design and composition. At age eight he often has the insight and sensitivity of an adult. He enjoys photography and is beginning to master Photoshop. Auguste is smart, artistic, easy going and an intense tennis player. His favorite artist is Van Gogh, and he especially likes Starry Night. He loves Disneyworld but also enjoys spending time in art museums.
Ella Carter
Ella has a love of art . . . painting, music, dance, and theatre. She especially loves drawing with India Ink using a feather quill pen, then applying a watercolor wash. When asked why she loves art she said, ‘because it lets you be creative and make things.” She is learning about the great artists of the world. “I like the artist, ummm, Arta da Vince. He was painting a lady and she wouldn’t smile for him. Oh, wait… his name is Leonardo da Vinci.” She ahs hopes f visiting Paris and seeing the Eiffel Tower. She currently enjoys Disney and all the princesses.
Matthew Lawrence
Matthew’s surprising injections of energetic expression into his generally conservative and precise artistic style yield dynamic and emotional works of art. Unbounded by choice of media, the aesthetic breadth of his artistic works spans a remarkable range but are threaded together as a single body by their common emotional language. Matthew is classically trained in painting, drawing, sculpture, mosaic, woodwork, and music. Matthew is a graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College and holds a BA in political science and economics.
Andrew Lawrence
Andrew’s love of beauty inspires his creative endeavors from art to music to cooking. His classical training in drawing, painting, and sculpture refine his energetic expressions of creativity.
