The latest jewel in McElroy’s capital-investment crown is the EMBA 295. Steve McElroy made the forward-look- ing decision in consultation with Jeff Mendenhall, McElroy Packaging’s Operations Manager for the past five years. “Northern Ohio is still hyper-competitive,” Steve said, “and I felt like we needed something to compete at a larger volume level.” Mendenhall agreed, adding, “A lot of our competition was moving to higher-speed machines,

In McElroy Packaging’s plant, the machine can run up to 300 sheets per minute maximum in regular feed mode and 450 sheet per minute in “twin-feed.” McElroy and Mendenhall were also looking for quality, and their positive experience with their prior-generation EMBA was another driving force in the decision.
