Lacombe emphasized that the recom- mendations in his report are “suggested DIBOHFTuUPUIF$PEFPG$POEVDUBOEUIF complaints protocol and that UCPR council is not obligated to accept them. the Ontario Ombudsman Office’s recommen- dations for dealing with conflict complaints where a local government official does not have a monetary interest in a matter but may still have a non-pecuniary interest that could influence their decision on an issue. Council then gave immediate and unani- mous approval to Lacombe’s recommenda- tions for revisions to the Code of Conduct and the complaints protocol.
