A LETTER FROM THE AGM • DUNWOODY COUNTRY CLUB
The good news is Mike is here with us through January to ensure there are no bumps in the road.
Dear Members, Summer is here and we are gearing up for the Fourth of July. What a great way to celebrate with your family at the club, and enjoy the entertainment, food, and fellowship with your fellow members. This has been a tradition of Dunwoody Country Club for decades and I hope you will participate and enjoy the holiday with us. Your Club Com- munications and Events Director, Becca Teal, has the day perfectly planned, and I know you will have a great time. Quick update on the back of the house/kitchen of our club. The Georgia Department of Public Health has inspected our operations at DCC. I am happy to report that we have re- ceived A’s in all cooking environments. What a great thing for our operation and knowledge for you the member, to have peace of mind that our kitchens are clean and sani- tized. These are unplanned inspections and can happen at any time. Our culinary team prides itself on continued cleanliness to ensure the safest place to prepare your meal. We have also received great and encouraging feedback from you on the Food and Beverage program that has been implemented at DCC. We are committed to improvement and strive for excellence in everything we do. Please con- tinue to submit feedback from your experiences as these comments allow us to adapt and improve in real time and our club will only get better. As you know, the club will begin running the Golf Shop on July 1. I would like to thank Mike Dausch, Director of Golf, for his experience in the operation and for helping us tran- sition to a club-owned business. We anticipate the contin- ued high quality and quantity of goods sold in the shop.
As I continue to meet and engage with the membership, there are a couple of themes that continue to come up.
1: How are we doing financially? We are in a great financial position and I continue to see the club being great stewards of your money. 2: How did the Food and Beverage operation transition so quickly? Having professionals in the correct positions and allowing them to do their jobs is what all great Managers do to en- sure success. That is what we have done. 3: What does the future of DCC look like? I have great hope for the future of Dunwoody Country Club. We have an opportunity to compete with the finest clubs in Atlanta. With the leadership we have, and with the membership’s support, I know you will be proud to be a member of one of the finest clubs in Atlanta. Please continue to use the APP to deliver feedback directly to me. It is a great opportunity to quickly deliver your ex- periences at the club. Thank you to everyone who is using this tool. I hope you have seen quick responses to your comments.
Cheers!
David Ruddell, CCM General Manager
