MSCA Working Visit to Malaysia Space Agency (MYSA) 15 May 2024 MYSA Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur
Following the next phase of MOSTI's Tech Rollout, Majlis Daerah Lahad Datu (MDLD) was invited to expand their understanding on smart solutions that are available and ready for deployment at local level. Two briefing sessions were conducted yesterday at MYSA. The first session was chaired by Mr. Boniface, Undersecretary MOSTI, where MYSA showcased nine applications that are valuable for city administration, using their expertise in space-based technology. In the second session, MSCA represented by Ts. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, chaired the meeting in the presence of Elix Solution Sdn Bhd, a member of MSCA, and Majlis Perbandaran Hulu Selangor (MPHS), to present a real use-case for the integrated enforcement system for municipalities. Valuable sharing in terms of services and effective investment for municipalities enables MDLD to recognise the tremendous potential for future partnership. MSCA successfully organised a townhall with 90 participants from various backgrounds, including local authorities, industry players, and academia. The townhall began with welcoming remarks from MSCA Chairman, Ts. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, who highlighted recent accomplishments and announced the new members. This was followed by special remarks from MIGHT President & CEO, Mr. Rushdi Abdul Rahim, who passionately supports MSCA's positive growth and its essential role in the development of smart cities in Malaysia. Also, this time around, MSCA Vice Chairman, Assoc Prof. Dr. Chen Jit Ern specifically revealed the MSCA's 3-years KPI, which enables all members to understand and contribute later for the future growth of MSCA.
