before moving in-house to join the Barnett Shale Asset team of a Midland based E&P. With the decline of the Barnett and the rise of the Eagle Ford, Ben became the project leader in charge of an approximate 30,000-acre Eagle Ford asset in Karnes and Atascosa Counties, leading all title, leasing, and curative efforts within the prospect area. Since 2010, Ben has focused on representing exploration and production companies in their operations across the United States.

Stan Williams II joined Fellers Snider in 2022 from Mayer Brown’s Houston office where he was a member of the Global Energy and Corporate & Securities practice

groups. Most notably, Mr. Williams represented private equity portfolio companies in the negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements and other ancillary agreements related to corporate acquisitions in the Eagle Ford and Bakken Shale plays. Following one such transaction, Mr. Williams also represented the surviving private equity midstream company in its successful merger-of-equals. In addition to corporate transactions and governance matters, Mr. Williams represented public and private equity companies in the negotiation and drafting of agreements related to energy operations and transactions. Previously, Mr. Williams served as Land Manager for Chesapeake Energy where he led land exploration and production, division order and lease administration teams in the acquisition, administration, development and divestiture of Chesapeake’s premiere oil and gas assets throughout Texas and Louisiana. Related to those efforts, Mr. Williams oversaw regulatory compliance matters involving both the Texas Railroad Commission and Louisiana Department of Natural Resources. Mr. Williams’ responsibilities included overseeing multi-year development agreements involving domestic and international partners, overseeing negotiations involving trades and various asset development transactions, renegotiations involving trades and various asset development transactions, renegotiating leases and ancillary development agreements, overseeing land and lease brokers and surveying teams, ensuring timely execution of all land matters to support drilling programs with up to 23 active rigs, and collaborating with all organizational levels and disciplines.

Virginia. Morgan joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 2002, where she served as a prosecutor for criminal cases. During her career, she was promoted to leadership roles supervising as many as a dozen assistant U.S. attorneys in four division offices throughout the state. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Irene M. Keeley for four years. In addition, she spent three years in private practice representing corporate and individual clients in civil litigation. Shawn Morgan earned her bachelor’s degree and her law degree from West Virginia University. She is a volunteer club leader for the Bridgeport 4-H Club and serves as a member of the board of directors for the WVU Foundation Extension Service/4-H Development Council. She has served on the board of directors for the North Central West Virginia Combined Federal Campaign, where she worked with federal employees to raise funds for the United Way.
