told Cheryl, “Look, it is the Smokey Mountains!”. Anyway, Norma was calling, telling us to hurry. We better get there. We finally made it to Louisville, checked in to the BEAUTIFUL OMNI, and made it to the boat. We were the last ones on the boat! Never underestimate the DO Analyst. We make things happen!

Nashville to eat. What I failed to mention is on the way up, the day we were running late, we passed a White Castle and I got so excited. I only saw White Castle on a certain movie and heard about it, but never tried the small little slider burgers. So, we all ordered one slider and a drink (we didn’t want to ruin our appetites). Let me just say… OH MY GOSH, it wasn’t 5 stars, but it was good. These sliders were better than what I thought. We continued our way with one mission in mind before leaving Kentucky… we must get KFC chicken. But first, we were not going anywhere until we got gas, so we had to find a gas station and it was my turn to pay, so we needed a Valero gas station. Our first Valero was sketchy, and the regular pumps were not working. NOPE! We continued driving and found the next Valero which was a blessing in disguise because what was down the road? An unscheduled stop at James B. Beam Distilling Co.! If you have never been, this place is amazing. The land, buildings, everything. Of course, there was no plan for a tour and what not, but we were going to take pictures and we were going to their store. We were not going to leave this place empty handed. Lisa did not even want to wait to get inside, she wanted to start drinking like she was on the clock. Speaking of clocks, did you know that o’clock means “of the clock”? Well, you do now thanks to one of our many side discussions. We stayed for about an hour, but we couldn’t stay longer, we were trying to get to Nashville by dinner time because we had a special place in mind to eat. So, we hit the ground running… at first. And then we hit traffic that would have kept us in place for over an hour. Well, that dog just does not hunt so we hit the back roads which was great! Also, we saw another James B. Beam Distilling Co. plant. I wonder if the other place we visited was just a front to keep us tourist from seeing the real place. I will leave that for you to decide. We are still in Kentucky and Cheryl must find a Kentucky shirt, so we pull over in this small town and what do we find? Everything but a Kentucky shirt. Weird stuff. Shot glasses, old movies, hats, weird clothes, key chains, everything but Kentucky shirts. We went to

Day 3: Louisville to Memphis. Now, I know what you are thinking. Is Armando going

to go through two more days of this fun? ABSOLUTELY! We leave Louisville right after the NADOA Institute Committee meeting bound for
