two places before calling it quits, we figured we would be back in September. So, right across the highway we find our next location. I mean how could you be in Kentucky and not stop at this place. It’s the place of all places. The Motherland of all restaurants. This is what I have been waiting for since our journey began. This was going to happen, and it did. I had to get… KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN! You would think that KFC would be everywhere in Kentucky, but you would be mistaken. Oddly enough, there are not many locations like you would think. Anyway, we head to Nashville with no problems and get to the next best place for dinner. Loveless Café. Now if you have never been to this place, be prepared to be amazed. This place was DELICIOUS and then dessert was DELICIOUS. If you are ever in Nashville, I recommend you go. Finally, we were closing out Day 3 with a drive from Nashville to Memphis. It was a long drive, but we made it to Memphis and checked into our hotel for the night.

Day 4: Memphis to Home Sweet Home. This is where the fun starts and we get down to business. We had breakfast at a great little place near a university. It was PACKED and we made it just in time before the rush. We were back on the road, and I was going to take this opportunity while driving through Arkansas to ask the three ladies about NADOA, Institute, and the industry in general. Each former President had some similar answers and some different answers. Betty was President in 2012 and her Institute was held in Philadelphia. She has been in the industry since 1979. She worked in Land and Division Order until 1992 and then moved to Crude Oil Marketing until 2002, and then she came back to Division Order. Lisa was President in 2013 and her Institute was held in Las Vegas. You can say that Lisa started her career in High School painting well site signs. Then right out of Junior College, the same company would hire her. She applied for an IT role, but there were no openings available, but then their Lease manager would end up calling her and asking if she would want to input leases. Eventually she would be forced to do Division Orders and she has been doing it ever since. She joined NADOA in 1987 or 88. Cheryl was President in 2018 and her Institute was held in Nashville. If you read all my article, you would already have known that. Cheryl started working in the industry while in college working at the same company as her mother. Cheryl has been in NADOA since the 80’s; however, she was affected by the downturn and was laid off several times, so she took about a 10-year hiatus from the Oil and Gas Industry. She did eventually come back to our crazy world and rejoined NADOA around 2005. When asking about the locations of their institute, Betty said she chose Philadelphia because it was a very historical city, and the hotel could accommodate the attendance. Lisa chose Las Vegas because it was the 40 th Anniversary, and she wanted a big celebration. Cheryl chose Nashville for the 45 th Anniversary because she loves Nashville. The next question asked is where you will hear some major differences in their answers. I asked what they accomplished during their time
