(Salaried) 2019 McKibbon Benefit Guide

To: All McKibbon Hospitality Employees Eligible for Group Health Plan

From: McKibbon Hospitality

Subject: Marketplace Now

Dear Valued Employee,

As part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employers are required to notify their employees of the coverage options available through the new Health Insurance Marketplace. You are not required to enroll in a Marketplace, but your employer, McKibbon Hospitality, is required to provide you the attached notice about the New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options and your health coverage.

To our knowledge, the McKibbon Hospitality employer group plan is:

1. AFFORDABLE to all employees; and 2. MEETS the “minimum value” standard set by the Affordable Care Act.

As such, we do not believe employees of McKibbon Hospitality would be eligible for a tax credit mentioned in the attached Marketplace Notice that lowers your monthly premium if you purchase insurance through a Marketplace.

We would also like to reiterate the following important information outlined in the notice if you elect to purchase insurance through a Marketplace.

• You will lose McKibbon Hospitality employer contribution for employer provided health insurance. Because you will no longer be enrolled on the employer group health plan, you will also no longer be able to deduct your health plan premium pretax.

As noted in the Marketplace Notice, you can visit www.HealthCare.gov for more information, including an online application for health insurance coverage and contact information for a Health Insurance Marketplace.

If you or anyone you know is interested in the Marketplace, we highly recommend you contact our health benefits broker, M.E. Wilson, as they can provide you local and expert assistance for purchasing insurance through the Marketplace. Please contact| Katie Reeves Miller at either 813-984-3602 or kmiller@mewilsion.com for further questions.
