This will be my last article for the Oracle, as my six years on your Board of Directors is coming to an end on March 18 th at our Annual Meeting of Members. Please plan to attend. I wanted my last article to reflect some of the many reasons we all love ORPS and look forward to being here. Of course, the Palm Springs area is well known for its great winter weather; with most winter days having high temperatures in the 70’ s and 80’ s, lots of sunshine, and low humidity. It is such wonderful weather for enjoying all the amenities our Resort offers. We have some fabulous activities here including golf, tennis, pickleball, cornhole, swimming, water aerobics, yoga, fitness and walking classes, quilting, cooking classes, bus trips, Texas Hold ‘ em, and many other card and domino games. We have at least three entertainment events every week at one of our two clubhouses with lots of music, dancing, and variety shows. We have an amazing Fitness Center full of some of the most modern equipment! ORPS also has the convenience of a restaurant and hair salon. I want to take a moment to say how important having all these amenities is to our Resort. Very few of us take the time to utilize all of them, as everyone has their favorites and there are only so many hours in a day. If you don ’ t use the Fitness Center or our restaurant, they are both still very important amenities. Someone is enjoying one of the amenities that you may not use, and it could be one of the main reasons they chose ORPS. We must realize that all these amenities not only enhance our lifestyle and keep us healthy, but also attract renters and future owners while making our Resort the very popular winter destination that it has become. Please consider taking a few copies of the Oracle home with you to share with friends and other RVers. It ’ s a great marketing tool that showcases everything our Resort has to offer. It's been my pleasure to serve as one of your board members and I want to thank you all for the support and kindness you have shown Cheri and me over the years.
