Beach Parking Permits Beach parking permits for Sanibel Island are available for purchase at the Sanibel Recreation Center. These permits are valid at designated locations as indicated on the parking zone map below.
The following permit options are available for 2026:
Resident “A”: $14 – For Sanibel residents and property owners (Beach access only) Resident “AC”: $113 – For Sanibel residents and property owners (Beach and Boat Ramp access) Non-Resident “B”: $300 – For non-residents or non-property owners (Beach access only) Non-Resident “BC”: $399 – For non-residents or non-property owners (Beach and Boat Ramp access) – Limited to 150. Check with the Recreation Center for availability.
Paying for Parking on Sanibel
Please Note: Due to the impacts of Hurricane Ian, traditional beach parking pay stations are no longer in service. Visitors without a City of Sanibel Beach Parking Permit are required to use the City’s new mobile payment system to pay for parking. Parking at Sanibel Beach Parks, including Turner Beach Park on Captiva, is available at a rate of $5.00 per hour, 24 hours a day. For those using the Sanibel Boat Ramp, a daily parking fee of $40.00 applies on weekdays (Monday through Friday), excluding holidays. Please be advised that a valid Parking Permit is required to use the Boat Ramp on weekends and holidays. For more information on the mobile pay system click HERE.
