Serving feel-good food with a conscience
Looking for tasty, seasonal, cost-effective catering for your in-house meetings and training sessions? How about trying StarBistro’s ‘to go’ service? From its base at National Star in Ullenwood, the StarBistro team regularly delivers catering to businesses and organisations in the Cheltenham and Gloucester area. “We believe that outside catering should be creative and innovative without sacrificing affordability,” said Pete Johnson, head of commercial enterprises at National Star. “That’s why we work with customers to create delivery and ‘to go’ menus tailored to the style and budgets of their events. Incorporating the same fresh, seasonal ingredients that are used at StarBistro, our produce is locally sourced and organic wherever possible.” The food delivery service is popular with businesses and organisations with a strong corporate social responsibility agenda that want value-for-money food that not only tastes good but does good. Several businesses in Cheltenham and Gloucester use the service, including Churchdown-based electrical contractor and training provider, Clarkson Evans.
“Clarkson Evans is proud to use StarBistro’s ‘to go’ food delivery service for our training courses and also for our internal meetings. The service we receive is second to none, the food is freshly prepared, locally sourced and offers great value for money. We’re pleased to be supporting a local social enterprise in this way,” said Lindsey Young, Clarkson Evan’s chief operating officer. Other regular customers include organisations based at the Twigworth Court Business Centre, BPE Solicitors LLP and Levi, Ray & Shoup Inc in Cheltenham. StarBistro is looking to expand its range of customers and is urging other businesses to give them a try. Lunches start from less than £7 per head and include what are described as “a lovely selection of sandwiches and wraps with a variety of deep fillings”. Vegetarian options are served separately. Lunch is accompanied by crisps, a selection of fresh fruit and bite-sized homemade cakes.
