The stunning covered Victorian steps The Old Council House (Licensed for civil ceremonies) The Old Council House is an elegant, neo- Classical Grade II* listed building which has many wonderful interesting features, including a grand sweeping staircase and outstanding decoration throughout with many original features. It was built from 1824 to 1827 by Sir Robert Smirke and is situated at the cross roads of Corn Street and Broad Street. Right in the heart of Bristol it has the convenience of being located near the main road and rail links.
