It is logical that such a merger does not happen overnight. After all, how do you choose from so many wonderful varieties and how do you scale up
the Varinova varieties quickly? The beauty of bringing together the genetics programmes is also the endless variety that is possible as a result. Take my personal favourite Goblet, for example. It is great to be able to continue breeding with it in the Syngenta gene pool. Because it is clear that we are further developing our Cyclamen to the wishes and requirements of the customer and consumer! Think of heat-resistant types for the medium and large segment. Or small series and cold-tolerant plants for the north and for outdoor use. The market demands clean, resilient plants that guarantee a better shelf life. Because ultimately we want to make the shelves, the windowsill and certainly the garden shine!
