Downtown Texarkana’s beautiful old buildings have long stood as a testament to our rich history. Up until the middle of the last century, this area was moving and shaking with commerce. Recently there has been a renewed focus on the historical importance and the beauty of these structures, and a concerted effort to bring them back to their former glory. Projects such as the Hotel Grim redevelopment provide insight into the goals of the revitalization efforts. This undertaking is transforming a hotel originally built in 1925 and redeveloping it into commercial space and residential apartments, while maintaining its historical personality.
