GAS CHAT IRELAND’S, MARK RYAN, GIVES THANKS TO IRELAND’S GAS INDUSTRY AND PRAISES SUPPORT FOR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CHARITY RAFFLE... Latest update fromGas Chat Ireland

T his month, we thought we would acknowledge the support we received over the last few months for our annual Christmas raffle. It’s mind-blowing how it’s taken off and has become a fundraising behemoth, with many companies in the industry bending over backwards to support our cause without any canvassing on our part. The most recent raffle was the biggest yet, which was completely unexpected, with the pandemic surrounding us. It just goes to show the generosity and charitable nature of the guys and gals involved in our industry. Our chosen beneficiary, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, has this time around received €27,608. This year it will be split between St. John’s Ward and the Heart Centre. St John’s looks after children with cancer of all types and the Heart Centre deals with congenital heart defects. Both do amazing work, and a lot of us here in Gas Chat Ireland have experienced their care either directly or indirectly at one stage or another. Since the raffle’s inception in 2017, we have raised a massive €61,308 for Crumlin, all through raffle ticket sales. None of this would be possible of course without the prizes readily donated by

the very generous suppliers, merchants and manufacturers that are members of our Facebook group. We can’t thank you enough for both your support, and involvement with the group. Last year was tough on everyone, and many small businesses were at risk of doors closing, but still the prizes rolled in, and the tickets sold by the thousands. We’re very proud to share our platform with such generous people.

Pumps, Grant Engineering, AKA Diamond Tools, K&S Safety Superstore, Testo, Mascot Workwear, Gasequipment. ie, Shower Doctors, Accura Diamond Tools, and Carlito Sunglasses. We as an industry will continue to support your businesses throughout these challenging times and look forward to brighter days as the vaccine is rolled out across the country. For now, stay safe, support local, and look out for each other. If you are an RGI or work in the gas industry and would like to join our pressure-free forum, search for “Gas Chat Ireland” on Facebook for help, advice, member deals and a bit of craic.
