PRESSURE REDUCING VALVES

The 536H series - fully WRAS approved pressure reducing valves and complies with the requirements of standard EN 1567 to function with water inlet temperatures up to 80°.

The 533H series - designed for small applications, such as apartments, to protect water systems.

“Altecnic offers a broad range of PRVs to meet the needs of installers - from domestic 15mm compression to commercial DN300, with options including integral pressure gauges suitable for pressures up to 25 bar.”

When there is downstream demand i.e., a tap is turned on, pressure acting below the diaphragm reduces. This forces the spring and the obturator downward, allowing water to flow through the valve. The higher the demand, the more the pressure decreases under the diaphragm and the greater the flow. When downstream demand decreases, the pressure below the diaphragm increases. This overcomes the force of the spring, closing the valve at the required setting for the target downstream pressure. However, if there is no flow but upstream pressure increases or spikes, for example as a result of a mains booster switching on, this can increase system pressure without the PRV operating. Caleffi valves feature a compensated seat, so the movement of the pressure reducing valve obturator is unaffected by upstream pressure.

Altecnic offers a broad range of PRVs to meet the needs of installers - from domestic 15mm compression to commercial DN300, with options including integral pressure gauges suitable for pressures up to 25 bar. Other features include the easy to use dial-up settings of the 535H range, ideal for semi- commercial and industrial applications. OUR SOLUTIONS The 533H series was designed for small applications, such as apartments, to protect water systems, where valve size and lack of noise are important aspects. This specific series of pressure reducing valves is certified according to the EN 1567 standard for operating with inlet water temperatures of up to 80°C. The 535H series features a handy pre- adjustment function enabling the valve to be set to the desired pressure value before installation, using an adjustment

handle with a pressure setting indicator. Fully WRAS approved, the 535H series of pressure reducing valves complies with the requirements of standard EN 1567 to function with water inlet temperatures up to 80°C. The 536 range is designed for applications in semi-commercial or public buildings allowing easy pressure adjustment in a range of 0.5 to 6 bar from an inlet of up to 25 bar. An integral filter prevents debris entering the cartridge which can be easily removed for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance. The 536 is easily adjusted using just an Allen key or screwdriver. The 300 range of commercial or industrial PRVs includes an automatic pilot- controlled valve and can regulate to a near zero flow as standard with no need for special low flow devices or bypasses. WRAS approved with a robust design, the Prescal 300 is a durable, accurate PRV for larger projects.
