Equine Oocyte Collection Set
• For equine transvaginal oocyte collection • Laminar flow - no ridges on collection side • Aspiration needle is 12Ga x 60cm (24in), stainless steel, double lumen, with an ultra sharp tip • Etched needles are ECHOGENIC to improve ultrasound visualization • Double lumen needle design consists of an outer flushing needle and inner aspiration cannula (see photo below); outer needle can be easily cleaned and replaced as needed • Flushing and collection lines are 16Ga x 180cm (72in) attached to a Y-adapter • # 6 silicone bottle stopper with collection port and vent port; included in OCS and OCS-2 kits but can also be ordered separately • F or continuous flushing without disconnecting the syringe, connect an auto 3-way (page 62) between the flush line and fluid source (see photo below)
