TAKE A BREAK

FROM SPOOKY STREETS TO TWINKLING TREES Ohio’s Best Fall & Winter Events As sweater weather settles into the Cleveland area, Ohio lights up with family-friendly festivals and activities. From pumpkin patches and haunted hay rides for Halloween to twinkling lights and holiday markets in November, this time of the year, there are so many fun ways to celebrate the magic of the season. And there’s no better time to bundle up and explore the city. SPOOKTACULAR FAMILY FUN Welcome the witching hour this Halloween with everything from classic pumpkin patches to dogs marching down the street in full costumes. The Spooky Pooch Parade on Oct. 11 in Lakewood has been a fun tradition for 18 years, and even if your pup isn’t participating, it’s highly entertaining to watch. If your family is more into classic Halloween frights, you can listen to scary stories in Akron at the Perkins Paranormal Trick-or-Treat or visit one of Cleveland’s biggest haunted attractions, the Spooky Ranch at Rockin R’ Ranch. The local zoos, like the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, usually go all out for Halloween with events to enjoy while getting a glimpse at wildlife. FESTIVALS FOR EVERYONE From October to November, you can find several festivals featuring live music, local food, artisan vendors, and markets. On Oct. 11, the Brooklyn Community Development Corporation will host its OB StreetFest, celebrating its 50-year history. This beloved neighborhood bash will have great tunes, gifts, and tasty fare from food trucks. When you’re ready to get into the Christmas spirit, the 44th Annual Holiday Tree Festival in Akron from Nov. 15–23 has plenty of trees, wreaths, and other holiday decorations you can buy to support Akron Children’s Hospital. Santa will also be stopping by for a visit. Winter in Cleveland is a magical time; you can see it on full display during Winterland on Nov. 29. Located in the heart of downtown, the big event will feature a tree lighting ceremony and many twinkling decorations. So, grab your coats, gather the family, and make the most of the season’s charm. All of us at Tittle & Perlmuter wish you a safe and happy holiday season!
