WORD OF LIFE CAMP

Located on the beautifpl Schroon Lake, New York, Word of Life camp­ ing activities, under the direction of Jack Wyrtzen, include three specific camping programs. These are Word of Life Inn, Word of Life Island, and Word of Life Ranch. Word of Life Inn is a camping program for adults and f am i l y groups. Located amid the Adirondack Pines, this camp overlooking Schroon Lake is an ideal location for a vaca­ tion with a real spiritual value. Outstanding Bible teaching com­ bines with many opportunities for recreation and relaxation. A special feature of the program is designed for honeymooners giving private cot­ tages and ideal surroundings for a honeymoon vacation. The Word of Life Island program is designed especially for high school, college, and professional young peo­ ple whose ages run from 14-30. Lo­ cated a mile out in the lake, the island with its pine-covered slopes and rocky shores, is the ideal place for one to “ get away from it all.” There are riding trails, canoeing, skiing, tennis, ping pong, volleyball, and miniature golf. Concerts, the best Christian films, and nationwide radio broadcasts are enjoyed around a roaring campfire. There is also on this island a spe­ cial two-week training program in­

Open for year-round activity, the program includes summer camp, win­ ter Snow-camp, young people’s win- terama and conferences of all kinds pertaining to Christian activity. Since its beginning in 1945, the camp has enjoyed enormous growth, and many thousands have gone through its gates. Many who first dedicated their lives and learned of the Lord’s blessings at camp have gone on to become missionaries, Christian housewives, businessmen, Indoor sports such as basketball and outdoor activities such as swim­ ming, riflery, and a special rodeo appeal to the interest of the campers.
