No one thought they could make it all the way through the playoffs, let alone become the Lower St. Lawrence Hockey League champions, but the Cornwall novice Colts managed to do just that. They recently defeated the Char-Lan Rebels in the championship final. The latter proved to be a true powerhouse for the whole season, outscoring 176-32 and boasting an incredible 22-0-2 record. Yet, the Colts, who entered the playoffs with a respectable 9-9-6, managed to snatch victory from the Rebels’ hands during the final game of the series, held in Cornwall.
