LEAD KAPPA

Campus leaders from around the world converged in Tampa, FL during the return of LEAD Kappa.

job market. Topics ranged from gen- erational wealth, project management tips, and how to select a nurturing and enjoyable work environment. LEAD Kappa is just as much of a developmental leadership program as a crucible meant to prepare young Kappa men for the responsibilities and demands of a constantly evolving corporate America. Walking into the Marriott hotel on Day Two, many brothers were obliged to perform and excel in the day’s activities. Shelton III, Esq. took a moment to provide them with a word of encouragement and the advice to maximize their time and not view

LEAD Kappa as simply another Kappa Experience. He urged the young men to use the program as a networking platform to establish the foundation of their professional lives. One of the participants chimed, “... Coming from a high achieving individual who can grasp the full benefits of membership in the fraternity, both from a respectful and leadership perspective, Brother Shelton’s words felt sincere and encouraging. It was as if he understood what it was like to be in our shoes and could see the realization of great- ness in us, even if we could not see it ourselves.” The next stop was Bible-Based Fellowship Church, where they partic- ipated in the National Sunday of Hope initiative alongside the Tampa (FL)
